The Role

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to help scale our growing business. The DA is a key member of the Global Insights and Analytics Team and will work with Performance, Strategy, CRM and Product partners to synthesize information for decision making. The DA will works with unique data and translate it into high-quality and actionable insights to improve the effectiveness of our efforts and unlocks business opportunities. Day to day activities include establishing dashboards, analyzing metrics of success for a business or category, support data science modelling projects, developing data-driven insights and recommendations for C-suite leadership, and communicating recommendations in a clear and compelling fashion.

What You’ll Do - Responsibilities

  • Using a range of techniques to develop and test hypotheses about how consumers are responding to marketing

  • Deliver regular and bespoke analyses and insights to drive growth across KPIs and drive businesses forward

  • Use business and analytical ability to transform complex day to day decisions into simple and easy to digest dashboards

  • Construct key marketing reporting mechanisms, including dashboards, reports and funnel metrics

  • Owning the design, development, and maintenance of these solutions

  • Monitor competition from a growth and marketing perspective

  • Support data science modelling projects to measure the impact and efficiency of marketing initiatives with the aim to optimize investments business impact

  • Support customer segmentation and predictive models to understand and predict users behaviour

A person in this role should be comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environment and love solving problems and be able to thrive in a startup culture where execution is highly valued. We are always moving at a very fast pace to make sure that users are able to experience the magic of 21Buttons.


What You’ll Need - Requirements

  • Ability to translate technical aspects of analysis and metrics into actionable insights

  • Proven experience working with large datasets

  • Previous experience with reporting and visualization tools using Tableau or other similar data visualization and reporting packages

  • Understanding of statistics including distributions, hypothesis testing, etc.

  • Understanding of advanced modelling techniques: Time Series, Logistic Regressions, Decision Trees, Neural Networks

  • Fluency with SQL

  • Fluency with visualization tools including Tableau

  • Fluency with an advanced analytical tool (Python, R, SAS, etc.)

  • Exposure to cloud technologies is desired (e.g. Redshift, S3, Hadoop, Hive, EC2…)

  • Understanding of marketers’ challenges through relevant job experience is highly desirable

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with others with diverse skill sets
