The Role


We are looking for a highly strategic, inquisitive and creative mind to act as a key member of the Central Strategy team, building brand marketing strategies across the globe. The focus of the role will be around the 21buttons brand as well as Retail partnerships (being one key audience of our three sided marketplace)

It’s the main champion for the Brand Globally and deals with external partners (agencies) to achieve our vision of being the global fashion destination.


This function sits at the intersection of creative, research, and marketing, and is essential to driving our business forward.  Strategists touch the many workflows across Marketing to generate innovative and insights-driven creative and marketing plans that do just that.


This person will have a proven track record of building marketing and brand strategies, and working across multiple teams to implement impactful, insight-driven marketing. They should be an open-minded, creative problem solver who loves digging into research, defining audiences, steering roadmaps and inspiring stakeholders with the voice of our customers, across marketing and business initiatives.

 This role will own a full-range of marketing strategy work (detailed below), and very close collaboration with a number of regional marketing and non marketing teams.

What You’ll Do – Responsibilities


  • Brand reputation: Manage the voice & brand of 21 Buttons through content, advertising, email, blogs, and all social channels, working with the local and sub-regional teams.
  • Story telling: you will build the Brand narrative according to our Brand in each market
  • Consumer marketing: Develop fantastic and attractive B2C marketing initiatives including events, partnerships, promotions, campaigns and loyalty programmes.
  • Analysis: Utilize data-driven decision making to improve the performance of our marketing efforts, prioritizing initiatives based on highest potential impact.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with leadership, central and regional teams to develop the wide marketing strategies.
  • Impact driven: Develop measurement plans and reports across the region that can assess short- and long-term impact, and inform future directions.
  • Audience driven: understanding the intersection of our audiences and representing our brand as well as building retail strategies to provide the biggest value to them.

What You’ll Need – Requirements


  • Minimum 7 years of marketing experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment or a larger company with a strong entrepreneurial culture, or a combination
  • Significant experience on aligning multiple stakeholders, managing and developing a diverse and dynamic teams as a senior manager or director level
  • Strong experience with integrated marketing including brand develpment and strategy, user research, advertising, acquisition channels, partnerships
  • Ability to build long term relationships with external partners (agencies)
  • A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of organizational effectiveness and a champion of efficiency
  • Experience making data-driven marketing decisions using surveys, focus groups, market research, A/B testing, and analytical tools, and demonstrated business sense and intuition through successful marketing projects at scale
  • Proven track record in Brand Development and Management  
  • Experience in brands oriented to the base of the pyramid is a plus.
  • Strong skills on communication
  • Lateral thinking (bring different alternatives to solve existing problems) and creative
  • Professional proficiency in English (a must) and Spanish (preferably)
